MY TRUE FIT TALKS WHITE DENIM IN REAL SIMPLE MAGAZINE! In this month’s issue of Real Simple Magazine, Mytruefit.com gives style tips and news about perfecting this summer’s favorite trend! Whether your silhouette is pear shape, straight, or hourglass - it doesn’t matter because it’s not size that determines the perfect fit and I’ll prove it to you! So ladies and gentlemen (because even men can rock white denim!) sit back and relax and let me take you for ride.

White Denim is taking over as this summer’s hottest trend! With skinny white jeans flourishing in the Pacific, to the intense low-rise boot cut white denim rolling in from the star studded streets of Hollywood, all the way to the rustling runways of New York City, it seems to me the forecast for white denim this season is going to be bananas! Stars such as Nicole Richie, Lauren Conrad, and Hilary Duff are constantly spotted wearing Paige Premium Denim’s Skyline Straight; one of the most comfortable and flattering skinny jeans on the market. Its Optic White color is perfect when paired with any neutrals such as navy, gold, silver, and black, which give that great “not really trying-chic” look that women all love.  Now ladies, I know what you’re thinking, “but white denim is so see-through!” and “Only petite girls can pull off white denim” But guess what!? IT’S NOT TRUE! Our very own Sarah Hodge, fit expert at My True Fit, offers suggestions in this month’s Real Simple issue about size not affecting fit: “Try different sizing. Instead of misses’ sizes (which usually run up to 18,) you may get a more accurate fit with jeans in women’s sizes (which are labeled with a W and range anywhere from 14 to 34.) Women's sizes are adjusted proportionately in the rise, waistband, and hips to accommodate a fuller figure’s curves,” says Hodge.

So ladies - don’t stress!

Always be sure to consider your shape. For figures that are straight, we recommend a skinny such as Red Engine’s Cayenne, where pear shapes look best in trouser and flare cuts. Pair your white denim with “any not-too-voluminous Empire waist tunic in a summery shade or a small print” as Hodge suggests in the issue. This is always the best way to go, giving you the best summer-fresh look!  As for that myth about white denim being always see-through…it’s exactly that, a myth. We recommend wearing nude underwear because, contrary to what mom ever told you, white underwear will be visible while nude will not be.

Now guys, who said that white denim was all about the ladies?! For those brave enough to put “style” in front of “reputation” like Justin Timberlake who looked AMAZING in GQ’s issue of “Most Stylish Man in America.”  I have to say a pair of white denim jeans never looked so good! JT has always been one of the most influential male celebrities when it comes to style.  His mixing and matching of all styles, whether they be vintage or modern, always transcends street-chic fashion. So guys, always remember to keep the influence alive when it comes to white denim. Pair your white denim with a fedora, some colorful kicks, or even the JT favorite sweater-vest look and you will never end up on E! Entertainment’s Fashion Police. Despite what anyone tells you, white denim is NOT something only seen in your girlfriend’s closet. As we all know, if it weren’t for James Dean bringing jeans to life, I wouldn’t even be writing this article to you!
